The Maze of ‘Love’

Love is selfish and wicked. Make you crazy, foolish, pathetic and disgusting creature.
Those who are reading this writing is thinking how much depress the writer she is uttering these words.
Or
You may think she may be blind or numb that she cannot see or feel the beauty of love.
For your information l like to say that yes, I use spectacles but I am not going through any kind of depression or hardship. Still, I think that the thing ‘Love’ is not a good thing for anyone and it creates only unnecessary problems in life though we have not shortage the problems in our life.
‘Love’, this thing is the problem.
Why?
Whenever, we think about ‘Love’, the trouble-making issue, we often think:
‘How can we get to be loved by loved ones or to able to love without led on them or loving someone on without thinking any advantaged from it?’
These thoughts will come to me whenever thinking about ‘Love’, I count them totally as a wasted thing. I also have surprised that it is not only me but Francis Bacon, a major figure in the development of the English Renaissance also thought like me. He believed that ‘Love’ only belonged to the stage, not in our life.
As he said:
‘For as to the stage, love ever matters of comedies, and now and then of tragedies, but in life it doth much mischief, sometimes like a siren, sometimes like a fury.’ (“Of Love”)
But at the end of the same essay, he explained that it was the nature of humans to seek and spend ‘Love’ for other humans which built the act of humanity and charitable within us. And married love is created for mankind and love in friendship is created to honor it.
Yes, I agree that we must have a love for other humans and our love must not love someone blindly. Still, something is missing. Because in the ‘Love’ between the husband and wife, we face the act of selfish and wicked.
Why am I saying this?
Among them, it is commonly seen that one is sacrificing and the other one is getting all the benefits. Mutual ‘Love’ in married life is merely observed.
For loving someone and to be loved by someone, we either are trying to fit in for our loved one or are trying to control them. From this maze of love, I am trying not to be in the trap of it.
Then how can I resist?
When I started to read ‘The Alchemy of Happiness’ by Imam Al Ghazzali, he emphasized the love of ‘God’ can make our ‘not to control our loved one’ or ‘not to be controlled by other’. According to him, men’s souls can be cured by the remembering of God. Because He does need our help but we need Him in every aspect of our life. So He is our benefactor whose love may help us to escape from the earthly wicked ‘Love’.
