How to be not a Great Writer


To build one’s career as a writer, he or she should avoid following some mentioned below points. These points personally have experienced by Towhidul Islam. According to his experience, he believes that if any novice has practiced these points in their early career, he or she will face difficulty in his or her future as an outsource writer. Now, we can go for these things we will ‘not do’ in our career so that we can carry our career’s journey in a nice and smooth track. Let’s start: 
·         Selling oneself for less: In the case of selling our work, we try to sell it in very less amount comparing to its actual rate so that the buyers can buy our work or select us for our less rate. Actually, it is our wrong assumption, instead they will doubt on our abilities. So, we cannot sell our work in fewer amounts rather we do demand for its actual rate- so it reflects that we are confident in our work.  
·         Put our love in one BAG: We always cannot give favours to these clients whom we like most. Instead of it we can make a fixed schedule for our clients so that no clients are neglected.
·         Pander to clients: ‘Pander to our clients’, we do many time in our career. It will be create a bad assumption about our from our clients. They will think that we will do the same things to them when our job will be done. By doing this, we cannot only weaker our connection with our former client but also fall to make our network in the field of outsourcing. In this way, it will be difficult to find new work for future.    
·         Be satisfied: Stop selling oneself: A the beginning of our career in the field of outsourcing, we start feeling satisfied when we get one or two clients. Then we stop looking for new clients because we start to create our comfort zone with our present clients. If this kind of thing is happening, that means we are putting our career in danger as a writer. The reason is that, the clients, with whom we are comfortable, may find better writer than us- so this is unpredictable things. It is also meant that it will be fool of us if we satisfy with our selected client easily. However, we do can plan to work with that client for one year and so. Otherwise, it can be a bad impact on us outsourcer’s career.    
·         Begging, borrowing and stealing:  It is normal that we are stuck or face difficulty in the beginning, middle or at the end. That time, we are looking for shortcut so we ask or indirectly beg to other writer or we borrow or steal from the other writer. In this way, we may solve the problem immediately but it will be permanently effected our career. Because we lose our prestige in front of other writers. Instead of this, we can give our bad project.   
·         Miss one’s deadline: ‘Miss deadline’, it is usually done by the new writer. By doing this, they don’t realize that they are establishing a bad impression for themselves. Because of their delay, many works of the buyers can be in pending. That’s why, they eventually can become irritate with them. So they should try to finish their word one day before the deadline.      
·         Become a Subject to Everyone: When we enter in our career, we try to listen and to do things according to the client’s opinions. In this way, we slowly lose our own voice. Here, we eventually can become a subject to them. If we want to make career in an outsource we should avoid this thing. But it doesn’t mean that we will not listen to our clients, we do what they want if it is suitable with our work. Otherwise, we have to convince our client and built a confident toward us.     
·         Write like a novice: If a writer writes like novice for his or her client, it will be create a bad impact for them. Because, it is a writer job to write in a presentable. And to make a presentable writing, he or she knows what kinds of structures, words, phrases or clauses should be add. For this, if one has to develop any one of these, he or she should to do that. Otherwise it will be very difficult to find clients for them.   
·         Be the best ignorant of one’s era: A writer cannot be ignorant about the contemplating writing styles. If they do, no buyers will interest to work with them. Because buyers may think that they can lose customers for our outdated writing styles.
·         Pretend to be an expert at everything: The world of writing, there are a lot of kinds of styles if we will search. And inexperience writing is doing his or her work by following one or two styles. And they don’t pretend that they are expert in other style because they know they will fail when it is time to work. So they show to the buyer what are they capable of instead of new writer who pretend to be an expert at everything which will damage their reputation at the beginning of their career.
·         Be available 24*7 to every client: In early stage of our career, we are available 24*7 to our client for pursuing them. But this method of pursuing them is wrong, because they will knock us whenever need and it eventually hampers our personals and professionals life. So, for that we should set a time for our client so that it can separate our personal and professional life.   
·         Stop learning new things: If a writer assumes that one can survive if he or she has enough knowledge in a particular subject then his or her career in a risk. Why? In the world of technology, if we are settling in just one sector then we will become an out-to-date person. Because of this situation, we will be failing to upgrade our working style when our situations demand us to do. That’s why it will not be wrong to say that if we stop learning new things, we stop our selves earning.
·         Don’t need a business plan: Many writers think that he or she doesn’t need any kinds of business plan. That’s why; they get stuck in one point of their career. So we should make a plan where we will write it down what we will do for our future and what we will gain from it.  
·         Make excuses or give never expectation: Buyers can have a high expectation if writer gives them a high hopes. And when the writer fails to stand on these high expectations, they lose the trust of their buyers. In this way, we may also lose their buyer. For this reason, we should honest with our client and commit the promises that we are meant to fulfill.
·         Get defensive: Getting defensive toward our mistakes, it can bring a bad impact for our reputation. If we do make a mistake, we should conform to our client by correct it. Otherwise, when they find these faults before us and when we are not informing about it, they will not trust or recommend us for future.

These are some point by avoid these; we may achieve our goal as a writer not only in the field of outsourcing but also in the field of other career sectors.
