Parenthood: A Bitter Pleasure
Our ever first relation, after coming into this world, is with our parent. At that moment, we are so week that we cannot do any of our mundane work like eating, washing, walking, speaking or so on. All works are done by our parents. In the mean time, our mothers who carried us almost nine months are going through the mental trauma because of her lack of sleep after her physical hassle, the libber pain. And our fathers, the most protective person in this world, do not what to do for their child’s protection or health. They always think how they can make our life easier. After going through so much drama from the childhood to the adulthood, they still love their child’s smile.
We may think it is hard when we are the child. But it is not what you are expecting. The new chapter is beginning as soon as we step into our teenage. We did so many crazy things that we do regret after the time past. At that very moment, our parents hold our hand firmly with patients and care so that we could not slip in our life.
If we think that when we become adult they stop to worry about us, we are absolutely wrong. They still worry even though we cross the age of 50. Whatever our age is that does not make them stop worrying or care.
It is the moment I like to share the first line of the prose, ‘Of Parents and Children’ marked by Francis Bacon.
“The joys of parents are secret, and so are their griefs and fears.”
In this line, Bacon has experienced the experiences of the parents. Those experiences are so personal that they cannot share either their joys or sorrows causing by their children with other. That doesn’t mean that they are the bow to do their duties. That means they would like to keep these feeling to themselves than tell anyone else about them. That’s how much they love us. So it is our duties to stay by their side in their thin and thick of time. Because when you confuse or face difficulty in your childhood or adulthood they are the people whose show or give the shelter to you after the Allah (SWT).
